Lutterworth Area Community Fund Press Release
Following the launch of the new Lutterworth Area Community Projects community fund in November 2020, the Directors are delighted to announce the first round of successful applications.
The fund established by GLP (formerly Gazeley) as developer and owner of Magna Park, in response to the on-going expansion of Magna Park as a dedicated logistics hub. GLP launched the new Community Fund to support community and voluntary organisations to help deliver local projects within the geographical area surrounding Magna Park.
25 different organisations and charities have received community funds amounting to £344,000. The funds will be used to support initiatives ranging from defibrillators; bus shelters; school play equipment; a community electric vehicle and new community sports facilities.

It is fair to say that we have had a few challenges in getting everything in place to ensure that we are covering the whole of the geographical funding area, whilst also ensuring that the fund can continue to provide financial support over the next few years. However, we are now up and running and very proud to be making a difference to local communities”.

I am sure that over the next few years more groups will benefit from the fund to provide improved facilities across the community. With the on-going legal and administrative support from Excello Law, the Directors of the fund are now in the process of considering the next round of applications received.
