GLP recently hosted the seventh Magna Park Community Fun Day on Saturday 14th September 2019, which drew crowds of around 800 people.
The action-packed day was attended by families from across the local community, who enjoyed a variety of activities which included face painting, mountain biking, family amusements and fairground rides, as well as a complimentary hog roast, drinks and ice cream. Transport around Magna Park on the day was provided by Arriva buses.
The event was a great opportunity for the local community to visit Magna Park, which employs close to 10,000 people from the surrounding area.
Proudly working with Cross Counties Radio who provided music and entertainment for all attendees. Cross Counties Radio have been working with Magna Park over the last three years on a very exciting initiative to deliver a bespoke and unique radio station for Magna Park.
This event is one of a number of initiatives undertaken by GLP on behalf of the employees and local community that surround Magna Park. The company has also set up the Magna Park Community Fund, which supports local charities and projects.
Gwyn Stubbings, Planning Director, GLP commented: “It is great to see so many people from the local community and further afield coming together to enjoy a day with their families at Magna Park. The event has been hugely popular year on year and, thanks to the support of a number of local businesses, we are delighted to host another successful fun day”.
