Alberto Costa MP For South Leicestershire Visits Magna Park
Alberto Costa, MP for South Leicestershire visited Magna Park on Friday 13 February to inspect for himself the area where the proposed expansion of Magna Park will happen. Alberto met with Gwyn Stubbings, Gazeley’s Planning Director who told him about the plans and took him to see an existing warehouse operation.
Alberto commented “I learned about the existing Magna Park site and visited one of the large warehouses to see how companies located within the industrial park use warehouse facilities. I was particularly keen to discuss with Gazeley the potential impact of the proposal on the Lutterworth, Bitteswell, Cotesbach and Ullesthorpe communities.
Mr Stubbings said “It was a pleasure to welcome Alberto Costa to our flagship development at Magna Park Lutterworth. Particularly at an exciting time in the 25 year history of Magna Park as Gazeley are considering proposals for further expansion and associated community benefits, investment and job creation. We look forward to further engagement with Alberto in the future and wish him well with his election campaign.”
Alberto concluded “I will be paying close attention to any proposal for development of Magna Park and adjoining areas. Whilst I am generally supportive of quality industries being located in our constituency, any proposed development must take into account the views of those living here as well as demonstrate any future benefits that a development might bring to our community. I would urge those who have an interest in this proposed development to contact me with their views”.
