The Business Hub – Work Experience Week

At the start of June we had the pleasure of welcoming 12 students from our local college to take part in a bespoke work experience programme.

Designed in collaboration with The Business Hub, out aim was for the students to spend an immersive week engaging with employees from both small and large businesses, learning about their job roles and career journeys, whilst giving them a safe platform to ask questions and build their networking skills

Being Europe’s largest dedicated logistics park we couldn’t miss the opportunity to showcase some of our ‘shed’s’, detailing the process from land acquisition and planning through to build with our developers GLP.

We also introduced the students to some our customers, because we know that logistics is more than just picking, packing and driving lorries. Iron Mountain did a phenomenal job explaining the different pathways within their business, with speakers across a range of departments.

The students gave great feedback about all the things they’d learnt throughout the week and were amazed at how much we’d managed to cram in.
