Bringing the Special Needs Employment Gap

Creating Tomorrow College offers post-18 study programmes to support students with special educational needs transition into adulthood, with a particular focus on gaining and sustaining employment. The college is driven by its mission to address the special needs employment gap (currently only 4.8% of adults with special educational needs are in employment in the UK with 86% expressing a desire to be), equipping students with the skills, experience, and support necessary to secure meaningful and sustained employment, while advocating for a more inclusive workforce.

Innovative Partnership with Iron Mountain at Magna Park

Creating Tomorrow College is proud to partner with Iron Mountain, a global leader in information management, at their Magna Park site. This groundbreaking collaboration places the college directly within a live working environment, offering students unparalleled access to real-world experiences. By embedding the college inside an operational workplace, students are immersed in the professional world from day one, enabling a seamless transition from education to employment.

This innovative approach enhances students' confidence, skills, and understanding of workplace expectations while providing employers with valuable insight into the capabilities of individuals with special educational needs.

Iron Mountain's commitment to social responsibility is exemplified through this partnership, which not only empowers students with special educational needs to achieve meaningful employment but also fosters a positive civic impact by promoting inclusivity and diversity within the local workforce and community.
