Core Management Logistics (CML), a Magna Park based logistics company has expanded their business by opening a second warehouse and increasing its number of employees following financial support from Barclays Bank.

The company has seen a significant surge in growth over the past 12 months thanks to increased demand from its prestigious list of retail clients, to meet this demand, CML has opened a second warehouse at Magna Park which stretches to 115,000 sq. ft. and has taken on 78 new staff over the past year.

As a direct result, the company, which has contracts with retail giants such as Marks & Spencer and L.K.Bennett, is now forecasting to deliver an uplift of 30% in throughput volumes over the next financial year.

CML is a privately owned supply-chain services company specialising in retail warehousing and distributions, along with global freight forwarding and employs a total of 265 staff over its two sites.

Just over 40 employees currently work at the new warehouse and CML has plans to take on more during peak periods. The warehouse, which offers extensive storage and operational space, can handle in excess of 30,000,000 units per annum and is a general merchandise-holding centre for client Marks & Spencer.

Graham Copley, Managing Director at CML, said: “CML is continuing to go from strength to strength and we are thrilled to have seen so many staff come on-board in the past 12 months as well as being in a position to open our second warehouse.

“Being able to bring new staff into new roles allows us to continuously expand on our expertise and knowledge and in doing so further improve on the services we provide to our clients. Barclays understands the nature of our work and shares the vision we have for the business and we welcome their support.”
