2018 Fun Day: Saturday 15th September

Gazeley recently hosted the fourth Magna Park Community Fun Day on 17th of September 2016 which drew crowds of around 1,200 people. The action packed day was attended by families from across the local community, who were able to enjoy a variety of activities included face painting, bouncy castles, mountain biking, family amusements and fairground rides as well as a complimentary hog roast and drinks.

The fun day, now in its fourth year, was also an opportunity for Gazeley to present an exhibition on the history of the site as Bitteswell Aerodrome during World War II and the subsequent evolution of Magna Park. The event was an opportunity for the local community to visit Magna Park, Lutterworth which employs close to 10,000 people from the surrounding area. Harborough FM provided music and entertainment for all attendees, whilst families could explore parts of Magna Wood on the Woodland nature trail.

This event is one of a number of initiatives undertaken by Gazeley on behalf of the employees and local community that surround Magna Park. The company has also set up the Magna Park Community Fund, which supports local charities and projects including most recently a donation to Maisie Elliot to attend the International Children’s Games in Taiwan.

Gwyn Stubbings, Planning Director, Gazeley commented: “It is great to see so many people from the local community and further afield coming together to enjoy a day with their families at Magna Park. The event has been hugely popular year on year and, thanks to the support of a number of local businesses, we are delighted to host another successful fun day.
